On Monday, April 25th, we launched an easy-to-use mobile app for Coloradans with disabilities and their families. Users can search for health providers, discover free and reduced-cost programs, and read fact-checked articles about disability health. The app is free and available for download on both Apple and Android devices on our website.
In most cases, providers refer to other practitioners they know and trust. But this isn't always possible as the disability care industry rapidly grows, becomes more specialized, and embraces telehealth.
To help providers on our platform gauge the trustworthiness of other practitioners before referring to them, we've added LinkedIn-style endorsement functionality. Providers can endorse others they know and trust for skills like communication, bedside manner, autism-friendliness, and empathy. Endorsement totals are visible at the bottom of each provider's profile for reference. Over time, we'll use endorsement data to improve the quality of our recommendations.
