I've established Movement Matters with a focus on providing wellness and healing. In my own practice I’ve been able to improve my emotional and physical well-being. I’ve found it to be therapeutic, and self-nourishing. Developing and maintaining a personal practice can build strength, balance, and flexibility; but those are not the only facets of yoga. The heart of yoga values empowerment, mindfulness, safety, acceptance, and healing. It can be an extremely personal practice. All experience levels are welcomed. It’s my intent is to be receptive to the needs of my students to allow for a thoughtfully guided session. Yoga is for every body** **and can meet you where you are.
I like to include work that stimulates our parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation. This looks like Hatha, Restorative, and Yin yoga paired with Pranayama and Meditation.
