We strive to offer an exceptional experience to all of Wayfinder's users, including case managers, families, and service providers. To help achieve this, we are excited to introduce our new help center. It will offer educational content and troubleshooting guides for a range of tasks, such as updating business profiles for providers and closing an RFP for case managers. While we currently have a small number of published articles, we will be adding more in the coming weeks and months.

New RFP Proposal Email Notifications

Today, we are introducing significant improvements to our Request for Proposals (RFPs) notifications and sharing modules. Now, when case managers create a new RFP, they can include the email addresses of their clients or other case managers who'd like to stay informed about the status of all applications.

Once a service provider submits a proposal to assist a client with disabilities, individuals listed in the email notifications will receive an alert containing comprehensive information, including the provider's contact details and a link to their detailed Wayfinder profile.

Improved Search Navigation and Sharing

Improved Search Navigation and Sharing

Users can now easily share their search queries on the provider directory with others by simply copying the URL. When the URL is pasted into a new browser, Wayfinder automatically applies the same filters and displays the corresponding search results.

This feature also simplifies navigating back to previous searches using the browser. Previously, searches on our directory were not stored in the browser history, so clicking the back arrow would return the user to their previous page.

We implemented this feature by storing the user's search and input preferences in the URL searchParameters instead of the client-side state.

HIPAA Compliance and Data Security

HIPAA Compliance and Data Security

Wayfinder is now compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This allows us to enter into Business Associates Agreements (BAAs) with clients and handle Protected Health Information (PHI) on our platform. PHI may include names, addresses, contact information, and medical details.

As a result, Wayfinder can now integrate with your chosen Electronic Medical Record or Case Management platform. When case managers create new Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Wayfinder automatically retrieves the latest demographic information from your records. We securely store and restrict access to this information, encrypting all data, including PHI, during transmission and storage.

Vanta, a security and compliance company, ensures that Wayfinder remains compliant with HIPAA through continuous monitoring.
